After doing a succesfull test payment via PayPal Sandbox, we land on the Invoices History page.
At first, I saw two links:
Pay Invoice / Print
It was strange for me that “Pay Invoice” was present there so I refreshed the page. The “Pay Invoice” link disappeared.
Yet more surprised, I refreshed the page again and oh, third surprise, instead of only 1 invoice I see now there are 2?
When I open them I see one of them is a “Renewal Invoice” and another a “Parent Invoice” but both are confirmed to have been paid as of today, and theoretically I onle did 1 single payment (not a renewal payment).
Am I missing something?

We need to check by placing test orders if you allow on your site and also need FTP details in private reply to check the logs.

Please find my below comments for your queries:
1) Yearly Subscription is the standard item and not a subscription. It seems, only name is Yearly Subscription but is Recurring Item? is not selected and set the recurring time period. Go to Invoicing->Items to check. The billing details will be displayed for recurring invoices and not for standard invoices.
2) It depends on the notification sent from the PayPal after paying an invoice which generally sent instantly but sometimes it gets delays. We update the invoice status based on the response we get from the PayPal.
3) That can be happened due to the delay in the notification from PayPal. I have checked in the log and found that the payment done notification sent before the subscription creation notification. Please try a few more invoice payments and if it happens again then let us know.
