    Hello,

I’m currently trying to setup recurring payments on my website but am getting the notification that “dprp is disabled for this merchant” when I attempt to make a payment.

We are currently paying for paypalpro and the payflow recurring billing addon. I believe the issue is that the api credentials we’ve entered in “payment gateways” are only associated with our paypalpro account and not the manager.paypal account (payflow). Paypal is telling us that paypalpro no longer handles recurring billing.

The goal is to allow recurring billing with paypal without having the customer leave our website and checkout on paypal… is this even possible?

    Thank you.

    Hi Evan,

The last time i tested it, it was working for me.
If you can provide wp-admin and FTP details i will have one of the dev take a look.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hi Evan,

I suggest you check this again with the sandbox account first and see if it works properly or not. Also, this problem may be specific to your account of PayPal. So you will need to contact PayPal Sales or Customer Service to request this feature to be enabled for you. Mention that you’re looking to get “Direct Payment – Recurring Payments” enabled. Or if you have an account manager assigned to you, contact them.

Let me know if you have any queries.

    Regards,
    Patrik

    It’s working now!

If anyone else is having this issue, please note that you must have the PayPal Pro legacy account with DPRP installed.

    Thanks.

Glad you got it setup, sounds like a PayPal setup issue, and something worth writing to them about.

Their support seems to have improved in the last year or so.
